Have you ever heard the term “Battery Racks”? You’d be surprised (as we are sometimes), that many people who have stock piles of batteries rolling all over their workshop tables or loose in drawers and cabinets, are not aware that there are battery racks to keep their batteries stored neatly. As the name implies, a battery rack is a storage rack that is either a wall-mounted, or sits table-top, that simply holds batteries, securely and neatly. Some larger models, used often in industrial zones, are floor standing models for larger battery storage.

It’s not a technical invention. It’s not the cure for cancer. But boy oh boy does it ever stave off the frustration that comes with batteries rolling off the table and falling into the deep abyss that exist in some cluttered junk drawers! People use shoe racks to neaten their shoe collections. They use magazine racks to keep their magazine collections tidy, and if they wish, they can have battery racks too.

Some racks are equipped with battery testers built right into them. How handy is that?  No point in storing dead batteries along side charged ones. When you use a battery rack, you can line up all the batteries in it to face forward so never again would you have to wonder what size battery is which?

Battery racks can accommodate most sizes batteries including all the commonly used sizes such as:AA, AAA, AAA,C, D and of course 9 Volt batteries. You can store your rechargeable NiMh (Nickel Metal Hydride),NiCd (Nickel Cadmium), (Li-Ion) Lithium Ion, Solar and non rechargeable (Li) Lithium, Alkaline batteries in them.

The industrial-grade units are electrolyte-protected. They are built in varying degrees of sturdiness with some being fabricated with galvanized steel. Yet others are made from aluminum and are considerable more light-weight and portable.

Did you know that some battery racks (often used in commercial applications) are powered by solar power.
