CR2 Photo Lithium Batteries
CR2 Photo Lithium Batteries are commonly used in today’s Digital Cameras, LED flashlights, Light Meters, camera flashes and other photographic devices.
CR2 lithium batteries are 3 volt, single-use batteries. Single-use is another term or NON-rechargeable - also called disposable. All these terms mean that this battery (made of Lithium chemistry) is not rechargeable. NEVER try to charge non rechargeable batteries as to do so is hazardous and poses a risk of fire.
CR2 cells have a very long shelf-life, at 10 years on average. If you use CR2 cells, or intend to use them, grab a bunch when you spot them at a reasonable price from a reliable battery supplier.
There are different battery manufacturers who make 3 volt CR2 photo lithium batteries. Some of the leaders in the industry are: Duracell, Sanyo, Panasonic, Titanium, and Energizer just to name a few. Of course, know that they each market their versions under different “model numbers” to identify them as their own. They are all fully equal and compatible with the CR2 Lithium Battery. If that is the type you require, any equivalent model number will do just fine.
Please click our RECHARGEABLE CR2 Cells, if you prefer to use the RECHARGABLE version of this battery, manufactured with LITHIUM-ION chemistry inside instead. It’s this Lithium Ion technology that differentiates it from the lithium version in being rechargeable instead of single-use.
A very significant benefit lithium Ion (Li-Ion) batteries is that this chemistry does not suffer from the risk of memory effect. For those of you not familiar with this term, it simply means that with batteries which can sustain this effect, they can have their total memory reduced if they are only “topped off” with a charge before becoming fully depleted of power. This effect is seen in NiCD (Nickel Cadmium) rechargeable batteries. One must be sure to wait until NiCD batteries are “dead” before recharging them so as to preserve the total capacity of power they were manufactured with. But Li-Ion batteries are immune from this effect. They can be charged and recharged without cause for concern about how much power remains in the battery at time of recharge. That luxury causes the battery to be more expensive than NiCDs but for those who can’t be bothered to keep track of how much energy remains in their batteries at any given time, the extra cost is well worth paying for this added benefit.

FOR BATTERY TESTERS:
You can test the strength (power left) of any battery you own. It’s an extremely handy device and costs very little. It’s one of the things many people don’t ordinarily think of buying but even if you only use it occasionally, you’ll sure be glad to have it around when you need it. Let’s say you’re planning to be away at an all-day event where you know you’ll be inclined to take lots and lots of pictures. Wouldn’t it be better to test a few batteries before you leave to know which ones are full of power and just take them along? It sure would! NiMH battery testers (all chemistries for that matter) are good for battery sizes: AA, AAA, AAAA C, Sub C, D, and 9 Volt for as little as just $12.99.
FOR WHOLESALE BATTERIES:(CR2, and all others as well!)
Many organizations, institutions, and even individual consumers alike, prefer to purchase their batteries in bulk packaging and in large quantity. They have enough experience to know that there are a few battery sizes they use over and over again. They might have children and use their batteries in their childrens toys. They might be avid photographers and need good camera batteries in ready supply. And for a host of other reasons, they require a surplus to keep in the workshop at their fingertips at any time. Resellers (merchants) are another type of customer that needs to buy batteries in volume. However, typically they need their inventory to be blister carded, ready for retail display. Buying in wholesale quantities is the way to go to get wholesale pricing.
There is not a battery we stock that we don’t have in large quantity. We invite all Government Departments, Universities and Schools across North America, Libraries, Media Centers and Research Labs, Corporations from Industry in the Private Sector to send us their Purchase Orders for their wholesale requirements and we are equipped to work closely and DIRECTLY with you, to deliver exactly what you require, how you need it and when you need it. Our brimming warehouse if SUPER Fresh batteries can adhere to even the most stringent of delivery schedules. Some ask that their batteries be shipped over time on the 1st Monday of each quarter.
