They’re made with NiCD (Nickel Cadmium) rechargeable battery chemistry. MAh is the abbreviation for milliampere hours. The higher the mAh rating, the longer the run-time will be. Run time is described as the length of time the battery pack will run on one charge. It is important to be aware that NiCD batteries, are not immune from memory effect. This means they ought to be recharged when they have become fully discharged and not when they still have power remaining in them. Otherwise the potential exists for their “memory” to become lessened or reduced. In NiCD chemistry, the battery could “remember” the amount of power it had when it was charged and consider this to be it’s new total capacity of power.
